Random Order Generator
Create a Random Order for Every Item
Turn any list into a numbered random order from first to last. Every item gets one unique place, so the result is ready for turns, presentations or starting positions.
Quick Setup
Paste the list, generate the order and copy the numbered result.
How to Use It
-
1. Add the list
Paste everyone or everything that needs a place in the order.
-
2. Generate the sequence
Generate the sequence and the full list is mixed before the position numbers are added.
-
3. Use the order
Copy the numbered result and keep it as one round, or generate again when you deliberately want a new order.

More Useful Guidance
Use it when the position is the result
This tool gives every entry one unique numbered place in a random sequence. It is useful for speaking order, starting positions, turns and queues where knowing that someone is '4th' matters more than simply seeing a shuffled list. The original order has no special priority once the new order is generated.
Example: eight speakers
Paste the eight speaker names and generate the order. Each person gets one place from 1 to 8. Nobody shares a position and nobody is left out. Run it again only when you actually want a completely new order.
Do not keep rerolling to chase a preferred order
If you are using the order as a fair draw, agree to accept the first valid result. Rerolling because someone does not like their position defeats the point. If some positions cannot work for certain people, sort that out before generating the order.
Order Generator vs List Shuffler
Both tools mix the whole list, but they show the result differently. List Shuffler gives you the entries in a new order. Random Order Generator also gives every entry a numbered place, which is useful when first, second, third and later positions matter.
How the Result Is Chosen
Fair selection
Every item gets one unique place, and the original order of your list does not give anyone an advantage.
Privacy
The list and numbered result stay on the device.
Common Questions
Can two items get the same position?
No. Every position is used once.
Can I generate another round?
Yes. Run the tool again for a completely fresh order.
Does the original order of my list give anyone an advantage?
No. The whole list is randomised before positions are assigned.
How is this different from List Shuffler?
Random Order Generator gives every item a numbered place. List Shuffler simply returns the list in a new order.
Can I copy the numbered order?
Yes. Copy the finished list and use it for turns, presentations, queues or starting positions.
Does the previous round affect the next one?
No. Every new run gives you a fresh random order.
