More Useful Guidance
Best for quick list decisions
Use this when you already know the choices and do not need a spinning wheel. Paste the options, choose how many results you want and pick. It works well for everyday decisions, tasks, games or choosing a few items from a longer list.
Example: picking two jobs from a list
Imagine you have Vacuum, Laundry, Kitchen, Bathroom and Recycling on the list and want two jobs chosen. Set the result count to two and keep unique selection on. The picker returns two different tasks. If repeats are allowed instead, the same task can be selected more than once because each pick starts from the full list.
One line should mean one chance
Treat every line as an entry. If the same option appears twice, it effectively has two places in the list. That can be useful when the duplication is intentional, but accidental duplicates should be removed. Also avoid putting two choices on one line because the picker cannot know that they were meant to be separate.
Picker vs wheel
Random Choice Picker and Spin the Wheel can both choose from your own options. Use the picker when you want the answer quickly. Use the wheel when people should be able to watch the selection. Random List Picker is better when you specifically want several items from a larger list.
How the Result Is Chosen
Fair selection
With normal equal picking, every option has the same chance. Unique mode simply stops the same option appearing twice in the same set of results.
Privacy
Your list stays on the device while you use the picker.
Common Questions
Can I pick more than one option?
Yes. Set the number of results before you press Pick.
Can I stop duplicate results?
Yes. Use unique mode when every result in the same draw should be different.
Can I paste a long list?
Yes. Keep one choice per line so the list is easy to check.
When should I use this instead of Spin the Wheel?
Use Random Choice Picker when speed matters more than having a visible wheel animation.
What happens if the same option is listed twice?
Each line counts as an entry, so a repeated option gets another chance unless you remove the duplicate.
Does unique mode remove items permanently?
Unique mode only stops repeats in the result you are making. Your original list stays there, so you can pick again afterwards.
